Thank you for responding!

I’ve enabled your account for access to the “private” area, which is labeled “Participants”. Reading all that is there is a great way to get caught up with the group.

As you read, you’ll see that our group has had dissenting opinions about possible routes and timing.

The good news is that we seem to have three different opportunities for you to consider crossing the Pacific. At the very bottom of this email is the latest schedule that I have for everyone. There are actually three different crossings being discussed; one taking the southern (equatorial) route in 2008, and two different trips in 2009; one taking the southern route, and one taking a northerly route to Hawaii.

In addition, you’ll see that several of us are planning trips to Alaska prior to the Pacific.

Welcome to the group. You may email the entire group, at any time, simply by sending email to the address ‘pacific@talkspot.com’ Anything sent to this email address is sent to everyone within about an hour of when you send it.

Ken Williams

PS I just received the pilot charts, and several books about the Pacific crossing. Over the next few weeks, I’ll post whatever I learn to the group.

I just came across this website. Afetr just returning from a 1 year voayage from San Diego to Galapagos and back we plan to do the Inside Passage of Alaska this summer. We also have begun thinking about a circumnavigation roughly in the timeframes discussed here. We have sailed what was then our Island Packet 40 from San Diego to the south pacific and would love to now do it in the 62. Needless to say we are very interested in this group pacific crossing.
