At this time, the group has no itinerary beyond a desire to cross the Pacific in Spring 2009.

My best guess is that we will have 10 to 20 boats, and will split to two groups; fast (approx. 8.5 knots) and slow (approx. 6.5 knots).

No firm departure location has been established, although momentum is building for a Los Cabos departure. I live in Los Cabos (Mexico) and can host a great party, (or, parties!) prior to departure.

We would then go direct to the Marquesas, spend a week or so - and, then continue to Tahiti, after which the group will randomly cruise together, or apart, until time to shift to the next destination.

My personal plan is to continue around the world, in small steps. Roberta and I are thinking in terms of "hubbing" with our beginning each cruising season with a three week or so trip to somewhere interesting, then spending several months exploring the area. Each year we'll repeat this process of establishing a new hub for cruising in a new location, until we wind up back where we started roughly 5-10 years from now.
